Alarms, but no fires at Vernon schools

Students at two of Vernon’s secondary schools had to be evacuated today after fire alarms went off.

Vernon Fire Rescue responded to a fire alarm at Seaton Secondary this morning, and then another alarm went off at Vernon Secondary School a few hours later.

Neither school had a fire, and fire officials say it appears students were to blame, with the RCMP to be notified about the incidents.
