Students return to B.C. schools Sept. 10
The B.C. government has released more details about its updated back to school plan, saying students will be welcomed back in classes for orientation Sept. 10.
On Tuesday, Education Minister Rob Fleming announced the original date to start classes of Sept. 8 would be pushed back to allow officials and staff more time to implement and become familiar with new Covid-19 health and safety measures.
On Wednesday, the province announced a gradual restart for the week of Sept. 8-11.
“Schools are going to look different in September,” said Fleming. “Staff, students and parents need time to get familiar with all the new health and safety procedures that are designed to keep them safe and confident in their school settings.”
