B.C.’s education minister says the start of the school year will be pushed back.
The original date was Sept. 8, but Rob Fleming now says students will be welcomed back to classrooms in the second week of September after staff review the latest B.C. Centre for Disease Control guidelines and school operation policies.
He said it’s important “staff have a couple of days” before students return.
Fleming says the government and its steering committee are working to finalize how school operations will work.
