Newer model pickup truck charred in suspicious fire

A vehicle fire in Vernon this week is being treated as suspicious by police.

Officers responded with Vernon Fire Rescue to a fire on Monday (Aug. 3) around 11 p.m. in the 4400 block of 20th Street, finding a newer model pick-up truck fully engulfed in fire.

“At this time, investigators are treating the fire as suspicious. The investigation is on-going; however, no suspects have been identified,” said Cpl. Tania Finn, media relations officer for Vernon North Okanagan RCMP.
