Water repair completed, residents can resume outside watering
A leak affecting a major water main serving Greater Vernon Water (GVW) customers has now been repaired and customers can resume regular outdoor water use.
The emergency repair was announced on Tuesday, and led to dozens of homes not having water service.
A precautionary water quality advisory remains in effect for those customers who were out of water during the repair.
The Regional District of North Okanagan said as a result of the shut off, water quality may be affected for a period after the water is turned back on.
