May 7, 2020 | 1:05 PM
About 120 homes in Lumby are on evacuation alert due to rising levels of the village’s three creeks.
The alert covers homes on nine different streets or roads and is designed to prepare the residents to evacuate if necessary.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the village will not be able to set up a reception centre and is encouraging affected residents to register early online.
Bessette, Duteau and Harris creeks run through the village which had flooding issues in 2017 and 2018.
