Police respond to disturbance on 32nd Street in Vernon
Police in Vernon had their hands full with a combative suspect who was allegedly assaulting people in vehicles.
Frontline officers responded to a disturbance in the 4200 block of 32nd Street Friday around 9 p.m.
“RCMP received multiple 911 calls from the public regarding a man who was assaulting people in their vehicles. Numerous police officers responded to the area and located the suspect covered in blood,” said Cpl. Tania Finn, media relations officer.
“As police attempted to take the suspect into custody, the suspect resisted arrest and assaulted a police officer. Multiple front line officers were required to gain control of the suspect and two police officers were injured during the arrest.”
