Precautionary water quality advisory issued for Grindrod

A power outage in Grindrod that resulted in a disruption to water service has now prompted a precautionary water quality advisory.

The advisory affects users of the Grindrod water utility.

The Regional District of the North Okanagan says children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems need to exercise caution when consuming water.

They recommend boiling water for one minute prior to drinking or preparing food, mixing baby formula, washing raw vegetables or brushing teeth.
