Gas prices on the rise

“Happy New Year” said one disgruntled customer as he reported a hike in the price of regular gas to $1.32.5 per litre at Vernon’s Petro-Canada station at 48th Avenue and 27th Street.

It has since climbed a fraction more to $1.32.9.

The website Gasbuddy.com confirmed the price hike.

However, other Vernon stations were slowly following suit later Tuesday afternoon.

By 3 p.m., the Canadian Tire and Husky stations on 27th Street hiked regular gas to $132.9.
