Team and business leader passes away
Kelowna’s business and sporting communities are mourning the loss of one of its leaders.
Grant Sheridan, the president and general manager of the Kelowna Chiefs of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League, and a partner in the Peacock Sheridan Group, died in Kelowna hospital after being diagnosed in March with bacterial meningitis
“It is with extreme sadness to say we lost Grant last evening. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at Kelowna General Hospital. Grant you made the world a better place. Rest easy my friend,” said the team posting on Facebook.
“Kelowna has lost a wonderful person in Grant Sheridan,” said Kelowna Rockets President and General Manager Bruce Hamilton. “We have lost a great friend, and more importantly, a loving father, husband and son. Grant loved life in my eyes, and he loved his family even more. Our family has lost a special friend. The hockey world has lost a most generous partner, our thoughts and prayers go out to Cherie, Tanner and Grant’s extended family.”
