Fire Cause Probe Continues

The cause of a mobile home fire in Lumby last week remains under investigation.

RCMP and fire officials are looking into Friday’s blaze that destroyed one home in the Valleyview mobile home park on Mabel Lake Road and damaged two others.

Fire chief Tony Clayton says the cause is undetermined, and he is not aware of a damage estimate as yet.

Clayton estimates damage to a second home was to the siding, which he estimates at around $10,000, while in another home, the fire got into the walls.

No one was injured in the fire.
