Woman Dies In RV Accident

Police are investigating a death at Fintry Provincial Park, northwest of Vernon.

A 73 year-old woman died after being hit by a recreational vehicle being driven by her partner at a campsite Sunday.

“To date the investigation has confirmed that a 93 year old male driver was adjusting the placement of a small motor home on a campsite and inadvertently struck and ran over his partner,” says Cpl. Dan Moskaluk. “The 73 woman died at the scene as a result of the injuries sustained.”

An RCMP Traffic collision analyst attended the location along with the BC Coroners Service.

Investigators spoke with several witnesses at the scene.

Moskaluk says the investigation into the incident and the woman’s death is ongoing.

“No further information is being released.”
