Update: Crash On Highway

Update: 1 pm

Two pickup trucks were involved in a crash near the Swan Lake interchange on Highway 97 north of Vernon this morning.

Captain Brett Stickles from the BX Swan Lake Fire Dept says one truck made a U turn on the highway and hit the other truck on the off ramp.

One person was taken to hospital with unknown injuries, while another person was not injured.

“When we arrived we just controlled fluid leaks and the scene, assisted with traffic and got the vehicle removed from the road, and all the debris,” Stickles tells Kiss FM.

Stickles says the highway wasn’t closed but the crash caused delays to northbound traffic.
