Man Hit By Train

RCMP say a man died after being hit by train near Salmon Arm.

It happened Tuesday afternoon on the tracks in a wooded area, about 1 km west of the Canoe Beach Boat launch.

“The preliminary investigation confirmed that an adult male was struck by a train while on foot. The adult male died at the scene as a result of the collision,” says Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.

The death was not suspicious, and the RCMP say the BC Coroners Service and CP Rail are investigating.
