27th Street Repair Work To Begin May 15

The City of Vernon has sent at advance notice about repairing and repaving 27th Street.

Work to repair the road surface between 45th Avenue and 38th Avenue will begin Monday, May 15th.

Repairs are expected to take approximately five weeks.

The continuation of the repaving program is scheduled for the end of September to avoid high volumes of tourist traffic.

Base repairs are required before repaving to increase the life span of the road.

Motorists are asked to be prepared for minor delays while the work is being done.

The city says every reasonable effort will be made to minimize the disruption to traffic.

Traffic may be reduced to single lane in each direction at times.

The City requests that the traveling public be patient, slow down and obey all traffic control.
