Latest Enderby Water Issues

May 7, 2017 | 6:44 AM

The City of Enderby strongly reminds residents and businesses west of the Enderby Bridge (e.g. all of Enderby and the Gunter-Ellison Service Extension) that a Mandatory Water Conservation Advisory remains in effect, in addition to the Boil Water Advisory.
The City’s ability to make water is severely limited and verging on non-existent.
The City is requiring businesses and residents to cooperate with the Mandatory Water Conservation Advisory to ensure that water availability is not completely eliminated.
The following steps should be taken by all businesses and residents immediately:
Eliminate all non-essential water usage entirely.
Use bottled water for consumption.
Limit essential water usage to the absolute bare minimum.
Due to further increases in turbidity, such that it can no longer send water through the its filtration plant, the City is retaining two potable water trucks to begin shuttling water from the distribution system east of the Bridge, along with other measures. However, none of these measures can keep up with the current water demand. If the level of water demand is not curtailed, the City will be entirely without water.
