May 5, 2017 | 11:11 AM

An evacuation order has been issued for Fintry Provincial Park along Westside Road, due to flooding.

The Central Okanagan Regional District says one residence in the park has been flooded, and campers have been ordered out.

Carol Treller of Coldstream was camping in the park when they got the notice fro the fire department this morning.

“They said, ‘We’re being flooded out. Get out now.’ I said, can we still get to Vernon, and he said ‘Yes, if you get out now,'” Treller tells Kiss FM.

Treller says the camp manager’s house was flooded, in the area by the park’s front gate.

She says about 12 people were camping in the park at the time.

Motorists should expect alternating single lane traffic on Westside Road at the North Westside Fire Hall just south of Short’s Creek as crews clear debris from the creek.

CORD has activated its Emergency Operation Centre in support of crews in the field responding to issues of localized, isolated flooding.
