Finally…a Bit of Breathing Room
Look…is that a patch of blue in a sea of smoke…yes it is.
It’s seems like forever, but finally a switch in weather and positive winds, has helped drop the air quality index to more live-able standards in the South, Central and North Okanagan.
This is due to a North Westerly flow according to Environment Canada…however the smoke has to go somewhere.
Communities downwind of wildfires will continue to experience periods of elevated concentrations of fine particulate matter and poor air quality through the weekend.
