UPDATE: 12:55 p.m.

RCMP report a person was treated in hospital for minor injuries after an incident this morning in Okanagan Landing that involved a pedestrian.

However police call it a minor incident that stemmed from a disturbance.

They say alcohol was a factor.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Police and other emergency crews have been on the scene of an incident in Vernon’s Okanagan Landing this morning.

Dispatch reports indicate a pedestrian was hit in the 8600 block of Foster Road which is off Tronson Road.

The call came in around 7:15 am.

No other details are available at this point, but we have requested information from the RCMP.
