Lumby Mayor Wants To Stay

Lumby Mayor Kevin Acton likes wearing the chain of office so much, he wants to keep it.

Acton has picked up and signed his nomination papers to run again for Mayor in October.

He wants to finish an important project

” I have thrown myself back into the lion’s den, yeah. We have some work left to do with these berms or whatever you want to call them, and the DFO and the province. And I think some consistency around that could be very helpful.”

Acton says it wasn’t a hard decision and got the all clear from his wife.

“She is fully supportive. She said that of course I had to. It only made sense to finish what we’re doing  in some of these bigger projects that need to be finished up. It didn’t take much thought, that’s for sure.”
