A Vernon man has been handed a three-year weapons ban and a 12-month probation order over an incident last winter when RCMP officers surrounded a home.
Forty-five-year-old Craig Lee Wilson pleaded guilty in Vernon provincial court Friday to one count of careless use of a firearm in connection with the incident.
Another charge was stayed.
On the night of February 15th, Vernon RCMP were called to a residence on the 1000 block of 11th Avenue for a report of a distraught man who was armed with a weapon.
