Economic Development & Prosperity Plan For Lumby

The Village of Lumby is hoping to get a grant from the BC Rural Dividend Fund to help create the Lumby Investment Corporation Project.

The idea is to create a strategy that assists the Village in becoming more proactive in the development of the community.

Mayor Kevin Acton says it would give Lumby an opportunity with the economic development plan it has invested in.

“A lot of the money’s about making sure that the community’s on board and we’re moving in the direction that we want to and then how to make that happen, action plans, how to get it off the ground.”
