Suspect Arrested After Chase

RCMP had to chase down a suspect wanted on outstanding warrants in Vernon.

Mounties attended an address on Okanagan Landing Road around 6 pm Monday to arrest a 28 year old man.

However, when police arrived, the suspect tried to get away by running through a nearby creek.

“After a brief foot pursuit, Dale James Williams was arrested without incident and will appear in Vernon court on numerous charges including break and enter, fraud, theft of motor vehicle, possession of stolen property, driving while prohibited, breach of a recognizance, assault a police officer and resist arrest,” says RCMP Sgt. Janelle Shoihet.
