More On Mall Evacuation

Vernon Fire Rescue has released details about what caused the Village Green Mall to be evacuated Tuesday afternoon.

Fire chief David Lind says someone activated a pull station in the Canadian Tire store, causing alarms to go off.

He says the crew checked the Bay, Save On Foods and then Canadian Tire before locating the station which had been pulled.

“The maintenance manager was on scene to ensure the system was reset and in proper working order,” Lind tells Beach Radio News.
