Donald Glover Buys 113 Boxes of Cookies and it’s the Cutest Thing

Mar 1, 2018 | 4:33 PM

While I have been aware of this man for a few years, I haven’t consciously consumed, or sought out much of his work– Never having been a watcher of “Community.“ Like a lot of people after hearing this story, I will be paying closer attention.

Donald Glover is actor, writer, director, comedian, producer, songwriter, and rapper who also operates under the stage name Childish Gambino. He was on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert to talk about what he is working on, And also to talk about being tied into a recent viral hit on Facebook.

A dad and his daughter made a “car studio“ video to sell Girl Scout cookies by writing a parody version of The Grammy award winning “Redbone“ by Childish Gambino. The video shameless… And the little girl is super cute, so it works.

During the interview, the conversation they started talking Eventually got around to the video. Colbert asked Glover what it was like to hear his song in that context. During his explanation, Glover indicated that he would buy cookies from the girl, and on cue, Colbert brought the girl and her dad out from backstage.

While perusing the order form, Glover noticed the girl needed to sell 113 boxes to meet her goal … so he bought all 113 boxes.

“Thin mints/you’ll want to order some before it’s too late“
