Huge Crowds Attend Friday’s IPE

Sep 2, 2017 | 6:25 AM

The lack of smoke in the air and brilliant sunshine brought out the crowds to the IPE yesterday.

Yvonne Paulson, IPE General Manager, told KISS-FM attendance for Friday was 29,119…well ahead of last years number of 18,808.

So far this week 68,754 people have attended the IPE…that is up 9000 over last year.

Today, of course, there’s the parade at 10:00am, watch for the KISS-FM Events Crew, followed by draft horse driving classes, mini chuckwagon races, log skid and Rodeo at 7pm!  Last year on Parade Day the attendance was 49,984 and with this ideal weather,  Paulson is expecting to hit well over 50,000 today.

Cattle people will enjoy the Simmental Beef and Angus Gold Shows.

West Coast Loggers will be putting on their show as well.

To wrap up the night it’s the Barn Dance with the band Appaloosa. The forecast today calls for sunshine and highs of 34…perfect parade weather…stay away smoke !
