Entrepreneur and community leader running in Coldstream-area riding

The B.C. NDP have nominated entrepreneur, farmer and community leader Binny Boparai as their candidate in the Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream riding for the upcoming provincial election.

Boparai serves on the board of directors of the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce and sits on Kelowna’s Agriculture Advisory Committee.

The candidate is the co-founder and president of Farming Karma, a farm-to-table beverage company that she said has earned provincial recognition for sustainability and innovation under her leadership.

She also said the company has a Do Good Initiative that partners with local schools and colleges to introduce students to careers in agriculture.
