Boil Water Advisory issued for south Spallumcheen

A boil water notice has been issued for the South Local Area Service portion of Spallumcheen.

The Township issued the advisory after an unexpected watermain break occurred on Holes Road.

“Because of this break, the South Local Area Service, which includes the Larkin and Eagle Rock water systems as shown shaded in green on the adjacent map, has been placed on a boil water advisory in accordance with Interior Health requirements,” the Township of Spallumcheen said in a release.

“The advisory is being implemented as a precautionary measure and the Township will conduct water quality testing until two consecutive water quality tests indicate acceptable results according to Interior Health guidelines.”
