Vernon, BC: Kason Kobelka made 35 saves in his first BCHL start to lead the Vernon Vipers to a 5–1 victory over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks at Rogers Rink Friday night.
The win was Vernon’s second straight on the road and improved its record to 2–1.
Mason Kim, Tommy Karmiris, Ryan Fairbairn, Luca Pura and Toms Trockis scored for the Vipers. Fairbairn also contributed an assist.
Kobelka stopped 35 of 36 shots and was named the game’s first star. Koen Senft scored Salmon Arm’s lone goal late in the third period.
