Another boost for Kelowna International Airport, and this time it’s not about passenger numbers or new airlines.
B.C. drone tech company, FireSwarm Solutions, has announced a new partnership with the City and Okanagan College to help grow its operations in the Interior. The deal was announced at the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) convention in Vancouver Tuesday.
YLW is emerging as a hub for AI-enabled drone and aerospace innovation.
FireSwarm’s automated drone-swarm platform has already been tested on wildfire suppression on Knox Mountain and the hope is there will be further applications for the technology in the civilian sphere.
