Vipers Blank Trail 6-0 in Preseason Finale

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers closed out their preseason schedule with their strongest performance of exhibition play, defeating the Trail Smoke Eaters 6-0.

Vernon controlled the game from start to finish, outshooting Trail 34-20 while getting balanced scoring and a combined shutout from Sammy DiBlasi and Jack Carter.

Mykolas Skadauskas scored twice for the Vipers, while Mason Kim had a goal and an assist. Van Martin and Josh Denes each recorded two assists, with Ryan Fairbairn, Cole Bieksa and Luca Pura also scoring.

DiBlasi stopped all 13 shots he faced before Carter took over for the second half and made seven saves to complete the shutout.
