Coldstream offering free wood chipping service in the fall  

Coldstream residents will have an opportunity to dispose of woody debris and better protect their properties and neighbourhoods from fires.

The District of Coldstream has opened registration for its Fall 2026 Wood Chipping Initiative.

The program will allow residents to dispose of branches, shrubs, small trees and other potential fire hazards for free.

“By removing these materials from their properties, homeowners can significantly decrease potential fire hazards and improve the safety of their homes and neighbourhoods,” the municipality stated in a release.
