Pumphouse Dog Beach to get new fencing  

Coldstream’s new dog beach will be getting a fence.

Coldstream Council agreed to spend $3,000, plus tax, to install a chain link fence around the designated dog area of Pumphouse Beach.

The fence, funded through the Lake Access Improvement Reserve, would be 3′ high but mounted atop concrete barriers placed on the beach earlier in July, for a total height of 4’6″. A single gate would also be installed to access and exit the section of the beach.

The fencing will held define the dog area, ensuring visitors and their pets can enjoy the amenity without interfering with other beach users.
