Suspected B&E leads to drug bust in West K

Jul 29, 2026 | 5:00 PM

It was an opportune bust by West Kelowna’s drug section earlier this week.

Frontline officers found evidence of drugs after initially responding to a suspected break and enter on Tuesday at an address in the 2100-block of Ensign Quay.

Police say a significant amount of suspected illicit drugs, cannabis products, and unstamped tobacco was then found and seized.

“This investigation highlights the vigilance and adaptability of our officers. What began as a response to a suspected break and enter quickly evolved into a significant investigation involving suspected illicit drugs and other suspected illegal products,” Cst. Ash Puri, Media Relations Officer for the West Kelowna RCMP, said.

“Through the coordinated efforts of our Drug Section, Crime Reduction Unit, Traffic Services, and frontline officers, investigators were able to secure judicial authorization and execute a search warrant. While the investigation remains in its early stages, it demonstrates our continued commitment to disrupting illegal activity and enhancing community safety.”
