Wanted person arrested and guns and drugs seized at a Kelowna residence
A person was apprehended and drugs and guns were seized after an investigation into a problem residence in Kelowna.
In early July, Kelowna RCMP’s Target Team was tasked with investigating a problem residence at a seniors’ housing complex in the 800 block of Jones Street.
Initiated by reports from community members alleging the occupants of the unit were contributing to public safety concerns and not complying with city property standards, police surveyed the property and found an unusually high volume of foot traffic entering and exiting the home.
On July 18, the Target Team and Southeast District Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant, during which officers located and seized several weapons, including an unsecured 12-gauge pump-action shotgun, and quantities of illicit substances.
