Armstrong Shamrocks, Vernon Tigers Set Sights on TOSLL Championship Weekend
VERNON – The Armstrong Shamrocks and Vernon Tigers will both be chasing a Thompson Okanagan Senior Lacrosse League championship this weekend in Kelowna.
Armstrong heads into the weekend as the top seed after a dominant regular season that saw the Shamrocks post a 7-1 record. Their reward is a semifinal matchup against the fourth-place Kamloops Rattlers.
The Vernon Tigers, meanwhile, enjoyed a strong bounce-back campaign, finishing third in the standings with a 4-3-1 record. Vernon will face the host Kelowna Raiders, who secured second place in the regular season standings.
The opening semifinal will see Armstrong take on Kamloops at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at Kelowna Memorial Arena. Later that evening, the Tigers and Raiders will square off at 8 p.m. in the second semifinal.
The winners of Saturday’s matchups will advance to the TOSLL Championship Final, set for Sunday, July 5 at 12:30 p.m. in Kelowna.
