A full day’s worth of celebrations will go in the North Okanagan to celebrate the nation’s birthday.

The City of Enderby will host Canada Day celebrations at Riverside Park July 1.

The day will kick off with the Enderby Lions Pancake Breakfast and Classic Car Show registration at 8 a.m.; followed by the Canada Day Parade at 11:30 a.m.; family-fun activities including the Classic Car Show, Kids Fun one, Ninja Obstacle Course, outdoor museum, live entertainment; competitions and activities where people can win prizes; and the community singing of Oh Canada and cutting of a birthday cake.

There will also be free public swim at the Enderby Outdoor Pool in Barnes Park from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

The party will conclude with a fireworks show at 10 p.m.

“Canada Day in Enderby has grown into one of the largest, most anticipated community celebrations in the region,” Mayor Huck Galbraith said.

“It is remarkable to see thousands of people of all ages congregate in our beautiful community and take in a full day of entertainment and activities. The size of this event is a testament to the incredible community spirit, volunteerism, and local support that define Enderby.”

City of Enderby event coordinator, Vallerie Byrne added that the scale of the local Canada Day celebration is extraordinary.

“Thousands of people from across the North Okanagan and Shuswap, and what they see on Canada Day is the result of months of planning and the collective efforts of volunteers, sponsors, community groups, City staff, and countless supporters working behind the scenes. Generosity and dedication are what transform this event from a celebration into something truly unforgettable,” Byrne stated.
