Caution traveling

Winter weather could hit passes

May 15, 2026 | 12:02 PM

Travel plans for the May long weekend could be impacted by a return to winter conditions in the mountains.

Environment Canada says Allison Pass, Pennask Summit, and Coquihalla Summit are most at risk for accumulating snow.

The agency is urging motorists to slow down, adjust driving to conditions, and allow extra travel time.

Drivers are encouraged to check DriveBC and monitor updated weather alerts before heading out.
