Collision leaves hundreds without power on Westside Road

An early-morning vehicle incident on Westside Road has left more than 1,200 BC Hydro customers without electricity.

Crews are on site working to restore power near Tronson Road, which is expected to return by 1 p.m.

The outage affects properties west of Tronson Road and much of Westside Road, including areas near Killiney Beach and Komasket Road.

This is one of three outages in the area due to high winds and downed trees, according to BC Hydro.
