Heat Breaks 111 Year Old Record

A more than 100 year old weather record was broken in Vernon Thursday.
Environment Canada says the temperature hit 36.9 degrees, breaking the old mark of 36.1 set in 1906 at the Coldstream Ranch weather station.
New records were set in several other communities.
The hot spot in all of Canada Thursday was Warfield BC, in the Kootenays, at 39.7.
