Time To Be Heat Safe
Environment Canada is warning we can expect temperatures to get up to the high 30’s over the next few days.
You’re advised to take precautions to avoid over heating yourself.
Dr Sue Pollock, medical health officer with Interior Health says there are a number of things you can do.
“Try and stay cool. That would be moving to an indoor environment that has air conditioning. So that may be in their own home if they have air conditioning or in a public facility like a mall. they should drink plenty of cool, n ion-alcoholic fluids and also planning their outdoor activity around the cooler time periods of the day.”
