Canada Day Skiing on Big White with Farley and Friends

Jul 3, 2017 | 6:40 AM

It was a Canada Day full of hot sun and typical outdoor Summer activities…that is except for Farley and friends at Big White Ski Resort.

For them it was a day on the top of the slopes as a group of lucky contest people got to strap on the boards, go skiing or boarding and celebrate Canada Day in the snow.

Josh Foster, Big White Ski Resort’s Director of Snowsports, hosted this special group as they took several runs down The Cliff to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday. It wasn’t just for people either as Farley, Big White’s resident mountain dog, even went for a slide.

It was nearly 18 degrees at the top, but conditions were still prime for a ski, with up to a metre of snow remaining in some sections of The Cliff.
