RCMP: who and when to call when something happens

Feb 2, 2026 | 5:31 PM

With downtown safety and security a burning issue among all stakeholders in Kelowna, the RCMP are asking the public to follow some guidelines on reporting incidents.

As always, 9-1-1 is the number to call for a serious crime, or crime-in-progress crime, or if someone’s health, safety or property is in jeopardy.

The police non-emergency line is for reporting a crime after it has occurred.
