Christmas Kettle campaign kicks off with event in Vernon Friday

A special event in Vernon to launch the annual winter food bank fundraiser is about to take place.

The Salvation Army will host a Christmas Kettle Campaign kickoff at the Superstore on Anderson Way from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21.

The event will feature a live, on-location Beach 107.5 broadcast, treats for attendees, and information on how people can volunteer or donate to the cause that provides food for people in need.

The Christmas Kettle Campaign will see volunteers set up at seven locations throughout Vernon this winter to collect money for the food bank.
