Mission Creek Greenway bypass to close for KLO bridge construction

Trail users should plan ahead as the Mission Creek Greenway Bypass at KLO Road will be closed at multiple points this month for construction related to the KLO Road Bridge Replacement Project.
The trail will be closed on Monday, Nov.17, to allow crews to prepare for gas main installation. The same section will close again from Nov. 24 – 26 for additional work on the gas main.
The bridge project includes replacing the KLO Bridge, installing a new roundabout and upgrading the surrounding area. City officials say the improvements are designed to enhance traffic flow, improve intersection safety and support active transportation, providing a safe and reliable connection to Southeast Kelowna.
The Regional District of Central Okanagan manages more than 2,100 hectares of parkland and 86 kilometres of formal trails in 30 regional parks.
