Hwy 6 and Hwy 97 South Both Re-opened

Hwy 97 South at Bailey Road has re-opened for North bound traffic. Vernon Fire Rescue attended to a vehicle fire involving a black SUV.

Secondly, an accident involving a motorcycle on Hwy 6 in Lavington had traffic rerouted but it has since reopened.

It hasn’t been a good weekend for motorcycles as Friday’s accident near Armstrong required a medivcac helicopter to take the rider to hospital. RCMP can not comment on the male’s condition, but do confirm he is from Salmon Arm.
