Pier Fight Draws Police

Jun 7, 2017 | 5:05 PM

RCMP were called to a report of a group of intoxicated people fighting on the pier at Kal Beach on Kalamalka Lake in Coldstream Tuesday around 6pm

Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says when officers got there, beach goers advised that all the people involved had fled

No injuries were seen by witnesses after reports a male on the pier was swarmed by several others and then kicked and punched, reportedly suffering a concussion.

Police stayed on scene and patrolled the beach.

“We attended all G.O.A. That’s cop talk for Gone on Arrival,” says the corporal.

Moskaluk says extra patrols involving ATV’s and foot patrols, are scheduled as in past years.

“Call police when you see something that requires police attendance. It’s a cell phone, not just a camera” added Moskaluk.

The incident comes just a few days after about a dozen men and women were on video fighting outside a nightclub in downtown Vernon early Sunday.
