‘Flight from police’ court dates pushed to late February

A man charged with fleeing from police will be due in Vernon court at the end of the month.

Dale Babiy was arrested in December of 2023 after police used a spike strip to stop him in a stolen vehicle, then had to chase him down on foot.

Babiy also faces charges of dangerous driving, driving while prohibited, and possession fo stolen property.

The B.C. Prosecution Service said Babiy was due in Vernon court to consult counsel Thursday, Feb. 13, but the matter was adjourned to Feb. 27.
