RCMP arrest multiple people in Kelowna’s Rutland area

Police converged on a residence in Kelowna’s Rutland area early Thursday morning.

Kelowna RCMP said members of the local force were joined by the Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Services in response to a call for help in the 500 block of Lester Rd. at approximately 5:43 a.m. on Feb. 13.

Police learned there was the possibility of weapons within the residence, and officers contained and isolated the home, and closed off Lester Rd. for public safety.

The Emergency Response Team conducted multiple callouts to the occupants in the home, and police said eventually several people exited the residence and were taken into custody.
