UPDATE: 6:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30
Motorists were advised to be cautious as the traffic light at the intersection of Highway 6 and Kalamalka Lake Road was not functional Thursday evening.
Vernon Fire Rescue Services said a two vehicle collision occurred at the intersection around 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, and fire crews along with Vernon North Okanagan RCMP and B.C. Emergency Health Services attended the scene.
The crash caused a power outage affecting the traffic light, and VRFS reminded drivers to be cautious in the area and that the intersection must be treated as a four-way stop.
